Pollinators like honeybees play an essential role in supporting our food system and maintaining a healthy environment, but it takes a lot of effort to keep their habitat flourishing—especially without the use of pesticides. From planting native wildflowers and trees to hand-weeding invasive species, maintaining a chemical-free, year-round food source for my bees is a labor of love, but it comes with its challenges.
