About The Borderline Manifesto
The Borderline Manifesto: Where sensitivity is power and healing is rebellion.
Have you ever tried rebuilding a house that's simultaneously burning down? That's what having borderline personality disorder feels like. You're trying to steady yourself while the walls around you are collapsing at an alarming rate.
I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder around 10 years ago, and a decade of it was just me getting on my feet. All of the things you're supposed to learn in your childhood--boundaries, labelling emotions, impulse control--I learned in my 20s instead. Now that I'm in my thirties, I finally know who I am.
If you are struggling with BPD, you're not alone. I know the resources out there are few and far between because we are vilified. Borderline isn't something you shout out from the rooftops; it's a word that echoes even when whispered. My blog is a safe space for the people who, like me in my teens and twenties, were alone and felt overwhelmed and hopeless. This blog is raw, unfiltered, and unapologetic. This is what it is like to be a borderline. Welcome to The Borderline Manifesto.
