Hi, I’m Regina Bergen — an independent, multi-genre author writing everything from small-town rom-coms and cozy holiday stories to poetry, middle-grade fiction, dark fantasy, and myth-inspired re-imaginings.

Right now, I’m building toward the launch of Horseman Rising, my dark, atmospheric Sleepy Hollow reimagining filled with autumn woods, old legends, haunted history, dangerous magic, and a Horseman who may not be the thing we should fear most.

I considered doing a Kickstarter, but I know myself well enough to know that a full campaign would likely overwhelm me. Instead, I’m creating this simple, low-pressure launch fund to help cover the very real costs of bringing this book into the world: advertising, ARCs, author copies, event space, event materials, signage, spooky swag, giveaways, and local promotion.

What I’m trying to create is bigger than one book launch. I’m building a sustainable indie author career, a growing community of readers, and bookish events that feel warm, weird, welcoming, emotional, chaotic, and memorable — the kind of spaces where stories feel alive and readers feel like they’re part of the magic.

Every bit of support helps me keep creating, keep showing up, and keep building this little bookish world one story, one signing table, one reader, and one slightly feral author moment at a time.
