The Chronicle acts as a hyperlocal online hub; run for the benefit of the community of Whaley Bridge in Derbyshire, (and anyone else with an interest in the village).
It pulls together and shares local news stories, events, job notices and useful information, and works to promote independent businesses and initiatives, (especially those with a benevolent focus).
It is secular and politically neutral, and is run on a purely voluntary basis as a community service. As such, it has no paid staff or income from advertising, affiliation or sponsorship. Donations in the form of a small tip from Buy Me a Coffee are therefore greatly appreciated. 😀
