March On!

Mar 01, 2022

March is here and I'm panicking a little. Maybe a lottle.

I have to vacate my apartment in two weeks and I'm not ready. I have too much stuff. I don't have enough hands. My current apartment needs deep cleaned in ways I'm not sure I'm able.

I really don't want to move.

If that was all I needed to do, it would be too much, but I'm also still job hunting. Working on edit jobs. Juggling cats. Don't underestimate how much cat juggling can take out of a body.

Through it all, there is Big Bobby Ray. I've had to make some plot adjustments, struggling to make sense of character motivations and the central theme of the conflict. The pieces don't fall into place as quickly when I can't dedicate big blocks of time to my words.

I do know that I love Bobby Ray. Loving your book's hero is always a good thing. He's a big marshmallow teddy bear with a hard, protective edge and I love those two sides of him. I just need to get him on the page so you can love him, too.

Beyond Big Bobby Ray, I have a stack of plots ready for a turn. Like, fifty of them. Yeah, it's a lot. I have a choice of finishing another partially-written contemporary romance for the Voirey name, or I can finish out a paranormal 3-book trilogy for Vee. It has angels and demons, but not the same world building as the Eternity series. Much more murder and mayhem in this series. I'm curious as to which readers would want to see first.

Maybe in April I'll have either time to write, or a job to keep me busy. I'd like time, but I need the job. Both would be better.
