Take a break.
In the few events I've hosted, we all agree we crave more "second thought" projects and "the third place" (a place that is not home, not work, and no obligation, your personal recharge).
I'm doing my very best to get projects done, step by step, brick by brick, breath by breath. My intent over the next few days is to pull together digital content, create reels, videos, and fun promos for us to see what's happening. One girl got tears in her eyes when we talked about what we were doing, another woman left with lots of materials and inspiration for new projects and a few new friends who are here to answer questions, share resources, and exchange artistic hacks + wisdom.
If you're in the NYC area, buy a ticket for one of our events and come out for community arts. Be prepared to silence your cell phones and keep them in your bags, make offerings, and invite creativity into your days.
