My work and personal goals focus on using data-driven methods and spatial perspectives to solve environmental health and environmental justice issues. I believe that, through research and creative approaches to data and analysis, we can identify and solve our world’s environmental and social problems and create a better future for everyone.

R Spatial Notebooks: In collaboration with the Institute for Social Research and Data Innovation (ISRDI) and the NSF Institute for Geospatial Understanding in an Integrated Discovery Environment (I-GUIDE) I am developing the R Spatial Notebooks project, a collection of code notebooks designed to support researchers, analysts, and data enthusiasts create reproducible spatial workflows in R. Designed in collaboration with IPUMS and the NSF I-GUIDE. Learn more about the project on my website: https://vavramusser.github.io/r-spatial.

BCYF App: I am currently developing a mobile application for the Berrien County Youth Fair (BCYF) which includes fair schedule information, live schedule updates, a "my schedule" section, and map interface designed for fair exhibitors, vendors, and attendees. This work is completely supported by donations and your support helps me contribute more time to app development and cover hosting costs. Come find me at the 2026 BCYF!

Thank you!
