My work and personal goals focus on using data-driven methods and spatial perspectives to solve environmental health and environmental justice issues. I believe that, through research and creative approaches to data and analysis, we can identify and solve our world’s environmental and social problems and create a better future for everyone.
R Spatial Notebooks: In collaboration with the Institute for Social Research and Data Innovation (ISRDI) and the NSF Institute for Geospatial Understanding in an Integrated Discovery Environment (I-GUIDE) I am developing the R Spatial Notebooks project, a collection of code notebooks designed to support researchers, analysts, and data enthusiasts create reproducible spatial workflows in R. BCYF App: I am currently developing a mobile application for the Berrien County Youth Fair (BCYF) which includes fair schedule information, live schedule updates, a "my schedule" section, and map interface designed for fair exhibitors, vendors, and attendees.
