Books in progress. Brain in chaos. Caffeine appreciated.
Hey there, I’m L.A. Peña — indie author, language creator, lore hoarder, and emotional damage dealer (fictionally). My current projects include:
🐉 Velarinai: dragon eggs, dead languages, and destiny
🧬 Resonant: sci-fi body horror meets found family
💀 Hollow-Born: ghosts, grief, and gallows humor
Every coffee helps me stay upright and keep writing the stories that won’t let me sleep.
I post sneak peeks, chapter drops, and behind-the-scenes notes here — and sometimes I scream about character arcs or vibes playlists.
Thanks for believing in strange stories and the writers who chase them.

The dark only thins, the ash starts moving, and something beneath the surface is listening for every sound Kaelin’s damaged brace makes. T...

Chapter Two, “Ashfall,” is a strong follow-up to the chaos of the opening chapter. Where Chapter One is all alarms, glass, and escape, this chapter slows the pace just enough to let the consequences hit. Kaelin and Arya are out of the Cradle, but freedom immediately comes with a new problem: surviving Ashkaru. And Ashkaru is not exactly rolling out the welcome mat. The atmosphere in this chapt...
