I write from the places most people have been taught to stay silent about. The uncomfortable truths. The injustice. The heartbreak. The hypocrisy. The battles nobody sees and the stories too often left untold.

I’m Dwight Munger III—a writer, digital creator, advocate, survivor, and the voice behind The Unbalanced Scale.

My writing isn’t born in an ivory tower. It’s born from lived experience.

I’ve experienced devastating loss, disability, addiction, discrimination, injustice, and the painful process of rebuilding a life when the world seems determined to keep knocking you down.

But I’ve also discovered something extraordinary: Even when life takes almost everything from you, it cannot take away your voice unless you surrender it.

And I refuse to surrender mine.

What I Create

Through The Unbalanced Scale, I investigate injustice, challenge abuses of power, expose hypocrisy, advocate for people whose voices are ignored, and occasionally use a healthy dose of unapologetic satire to remind the powerful that they are not above ridicule—or accountability.

I also write about the deeply human side of survival: resilience, recovery, loneliness, caregiving, self-worth, kindness, and finding the courage to begin again.

Some days, my writing will make you angry. Other days, it might make you laugh until your stomach hurts. And sometimes, I hope, it will remind you that you’re not nearly as alone as you think.

Because behind every headline, every injustice, and every struggle is a human being whose story matters.
