Liefde is nie die groot gebaar nie,
of die woorde wat almal hoor.
Dis die ketel wat kook
sonder dat jy vra,
die stoel wat na jou toe draai
sonder uitnodiging.
Dis die stilte wat nie koud word nie,
die hand wat bly lê
lank ná die lag.
En wanneer dit moeilik raak—
die wete dat jy nog steeds
saam sal draai na dieselfde lig.

Love is not the grand gesture,
or the words that everyone hears.
It’s the coffee that brews
without you asking,
the chair that turns toward you
without invitation.
It’s the silence that doesn’t chill,
the hand that stays
long after the laughter.
And when it gets hard—
the knowing you’ll still
turn together toward the same light.
