We like to imagine courage as a decision made in calm weather —
something noble, deliberate, well-timed.
But real courage rarely gives you that luxury.
It comes unannounced, in the middle of the mess —
when the plan breaks,
when someone you trusted falters,
when the silence feels heavier than the truth.
Fear knocks first. Always.
It demands reaction — fast, loud, convincing.
But courage… courage takes its time.
It pauses long enough to remember what matters,
steadies its breath,
and steps forward anyway.
Some storms don’t wait for bravery.
They just find you — and you walk through them,
one quiet step at a time.
That’s where courage really lives.
Not in the noise of the battle,
but in the stillness between heartbeats —
where you decide to keep walking.
