Chi siamo Stefan
Hi! I’m Stefan Tanevski , the creator of The Econ Digest . I believe economics can be interesting and easy to understand, so I started The Econ Digest in 2025 as part of a New Year's Resolution to share and explain economic trends in a way that everyone understand. I’m currently working on my PhD in Economics and teach Finance , Economics , and Statistics at the University American College Skopje . I’m also part of the research team at Finance Think , where we focus on improving economic policies that affect people’s lives. My research covers many areas, including monetary policy , financial markets , labor economics , and remittances . I’m especially interested in how these big ideas shape life in the Western Balkans . In 2024, I was honoured to receive the award for the Best Research Paper in Macroeconomics for Young Economists from the National Bank of North Macedonia . It was a great moment in my career and reminded me why I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into something useful and meaningful. If you’d like to learn more about my work, you can find some of my papers on Google Scholar . Why support? Every post at The Econ Digest takes time to research, analyse, and write to ensure it delivers value to you. Your support allows me to: Dedicate more time to crafting quality content Cover costs to keep The Econ Digest running smoothly. Expand into topics like economic and financial literacy and the lessons we can all learn from fads and failures If you enjoy these insights and want to see more, consider buying me a coffee ☕ (or two) . Every contribution helps keep this project growing. Thank you for reading, supporting, and being part of this journey. Let’s keep exploring the fascinating world of economics together! 🙌 Sincerely, Stefan Tanevski
