Training Block for Rim to River 100 Update!

Sep 08, 2026

Check-In!

Preparing for Rim to River 100 is still on track. I've been following the new plan with some fantastic tweaks, like increased mileage, double run days with speed work and long runs with speed.

I upgraded to a nice cabin for the race and am renting an SUV, instead of putting more miles on my Wrangler, Rocksie.

I also looked into doing the tour of the New River Gorge Bridge. I think that would be a fun, scary adventure! You walk on the catwalk under the bridge, which is 800 ft in the air! I don't think I'll be able to convince my husband, but I don't want to do it alone.

I'm also looking for crew and pacers. 2-3 people, ideally, to help me run this sub 24. My husband is an experienced crew, but I want him to have support. Pacer-wise, we'll need to average under 14:00/mi. The course has 12,000 ft elevation gain.

Let's go!
