ENG: "2 Years of Borders" is a documentary film by Sebastian Korczak, exploring the impact of Russia's invasion on society in Poland. The film consists of a series of mini vignettes depicting societal reactions to the conflict from February 24, 2022, to the present. Korczak shows that the act of aggression is felt not only by direct victims but also in the consciousness of everyone, regardless of which side of the border they are on. The violation of Ukraine's borders by Russia is a metaphor for crossing our personal boundaries of safety, comfort, and well-being. In this context, borders take on a deeper meaning. They are not just lines on a map but also a symbol of the values we protect. The conflict in Ukraine starkly demonstrates how easily these boundaries can be breached and how important it is to respect and defend them. The film emphasizes that borders are not only geopolitical but also moral and emotional, forming an essential part of our identity and security. It shows how assisting refugees and crossing our own boundaries of fatigue and comfort leads to attempts to cope with violated boundaries. Korczak highlights our great heart for others, showing that despite difficulties, people are capable of empathy and altruism. “2 Years of Borders” is a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit in the face of conflict and injustice. It is a film that prompts reflection and discussion on the topic of borders, both geopolitical and personal.

Film ukazuje, jak pomoc udzielana uchodźcom i przekraczanie własnych granic zmęczenia i komfortu prowadzi do prób radzenia sobie z naruszonymi granicami. “2 Lata Granic” to mocne przypomnienie o sile ludzkiego ducha w obliczu konfliktu i niesprawiedliwości.
