Greetings!
I spent many years working as a professional photographer. At the age of 54, I sold my house to buy a "Pirate Ship" named Mattithyahu. Matt is a beautiful steel Bruce Robert's Spray 45 Gaff Cutter and measures 12.9m in length.
In 1992, Mattithyahu was constructed using indigenous hardwoods from the Knysna Forest, South Africa. This was very important to me as living a sustainable lifestyle has always been of great interest to me, and I follow these practices to the best of my abilities. Owning a boat is like having a tiny home on the water and an opportunity to travel around the world in a greener way.
I have no prior experience sailing or boating, apart from working as a seaman for the South African Navy, when I was conscripted into the National Military, at the age of 18.
My Youtube channel is dedicated to vlogging all my experiences with owning a boat and eventually using this vessel to teach. The more I learn, the more I will share with you.
Matt's main goal is to travel to teach youth about renewable energy, health, and stainable living and the life skills they need to better themselves. An educational platform on the sea.
I'd love to hear from you! Feel free to share your knowledge. Keep us all inspired to maintain a positive attitude.
Please follow us, all the support we can get would be amazing. Thank you!
Cheers
Graham
