Acerca de Dan & Uma Szczesny
Words, so many words. Many of them about music and libraries.
Dan is a long time author and journalist living in New Hampshire, writing about the outdoors, travel, Mount Washington and fatherhood. His daughter Uma is a craft wiz and music maven. They are always up for coffee and smoothies!
We write about all sorts of stuff over at our Substack Day By Day and we'd love for you to join us. Just click the link below to start getting a FREE daily post. And in the meantime, here's a bit more about our books.
Whether it's writing about the frozen summit of Mount Washington, exploring fire towers and little libraries or running down obscure historical connections, you likely know me best by my addiction to coffee and cookies - pretty much the only fuel that resulted in 10 books, tons of articles, a bunch of short stories and near endless energy as I navigate New Hampshire, fatherhood, or writing too long sentences like this one.
My latest book with Uma is More NH Rocks That Rock, a second collaboration with the real creator in the family, ten-year-old Little Bean. We are planning two more Field Guides in the series, so, needless to say, I need lots of coffee!
If you came here from my Substack newsletter, thank you! That's where most of our long form writing takes place, where we talk about parenting, books and music mostly. If you haven't come from there, check us out and subscribe here: Check out Day By Day
Anyway, thanks for reading and thanks for the coffee or slushy! Let's go!
