[ACTION STEPS] for The Peaky Pines Playbook 1:12

Never get distracted from the direction you know deep down that you’re supposed to be moving in. Whenever life tests you, understand that it’s only trying to get you back on track. Don’t forget that”. (The Peaky Pines Playbook 1:12)

How to keep learning stuff.

1) Get involved in communities online where people are pursuing similar passions to what you are.

2) Get to know yourself, and the world around you, by using the following Associative Habit that I've written about before in regards to observing the world, but also ask introspective questions like, "why'd I say that?", "why'd I do that?", "why was I thinking that?"

  • Whenever you put your wallet or purse down on a table or whatever at your house, place a little notepad (I got my little, cheap pocket-sized ones from Coles grocery) next to the wallet or the purse. Place a pen there too.

  • Associate putting your wallet AND the pen in your pocket or picking up your purse, with putting the notepad in your pocket with the wallet, or putting the notepad in your purse (it shouldn't be in there already).

  • After you have a conversation with someone and depart them, look around for the nearest place to sit down, and go and sit down there.

  • Associate sitting down with pulling out the notepad and pen, and writing down, "what did that person/people just say?" Write your answer.

  • Write down more questions like, "what does that mean?", "why'd they say that?", "why didn't they say something else/why didn't they take a different approach?". Answer and elaborate on these for up to 5 or 10 minutes.

How to avoid getting distracted from your Peaky Path.

1) Identify the social media app that you most actively use to talk to your friends, and whatever you need for your business if you run one.

2) Get someone to put screen time on all of your social media apps and not tell you the passcode.

3) Delete every other social media app.

4) Stop watching the news.

5) Get involved in communities online where people are pursuing similar passions to what you are.
