Hi, I’m Susan! I’m a single mum farming 167+ acres in the Highlands of Northeast Victoria.

With cattle, sheep, and chickens; gardens, long days, and wide horizons, self-sufficiency isn’t a hobby here - it’s how we live. I grow food, raise animals, cook from scratch, and share the real rhythm of life on the land: the work, the beauty, the setbacks, and the stubborn hope that keeps a homestead alive.

I write articles for a couple of newspapers, which I share here on Buy Me a Coffee on the 1st and 15th of each month, offering more insights, DIY projects, and seasonal activities.
