I estimate that Music Jotter is about 85% complete. In fact, my next video demonstrates its notation and playback abilities. I've notated some very difficult works on camera to test the software:
First section of Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu
Difficult excerpts of Chopin's 2nd Piano Concerto
Introduction to Beethoven's Sonata Pathetique
Playback is often overlooked with this type of software. But Music Jotter's playback (at least to my ears), sounds like a performance! And part of this is due to the specialized integration I've created with external software, such as Kontakt.
Visual Aspects of Playback
The visual aspects of musical playback are also important to me, (especially because I use this software to run my YouTube channel). Here is a visual example of Chopin's 2nd Piano concerto in action! Music Jotter handles any tuplet ratio and polyrhythms without issues or hacks required, and you can visually see this.
Syncing to a real performance
Because of its visual playback abilities, I just discovered that Music Jotter can literally be used to sync to a real performance (after notating it in Music Jotter). I'm going to start experimenting a bit more with this, as this is an excellent way to teach someone how to follow along with music notation.
Reminder to Self Grant Access
As a reminder, you may self grant yourself access to this software here. Remember that this notation software will be powerful enough for professionals, but its aimed at the hobbyist (me included). And if there is enough support for this product, after I stabilize the software I will create a standalone. The standalone product would be the same software as the web version, so you'd be able to use both interchangeably.
