It's been a big couple of weeks for Defrag98, and honestly this might be the best it's ever looked.
When a new version ships, the app now tells you the way Windows 98 would: a "would you like to restart your computer" dialog, then the real boot screen while it loads. Your actual computer stays on, but yours truly grinned way too hard watching it come back up.
Every window is draggable by its title bar now, dialog boxes included, with a right-click shortcut menu and keyboard shortcuts to match. It finally feels like an actual desktop instead of one fixed box on a teal background.
There's also a new Realistic mode in Settings for anyone who wants a slower, truer-to-1998 pace.
And if none of the built-in drives are the size or speed you're after, you can now build your own: pick the capacity and speed yourself and watch the estimate update as you drag. Go make something absurd, like a floppy-slow 8GB monster, and watch it crawl.
