Hello guys! I was admitted into a Conservatory in Gennevilliers - France, and I do not have enough financial resources to get there. I would like to talk a little about who I am, and of course, share a video of me playing. Hope you like it!
My name is María José Contreras, I am a venezuelan violinist. I was born in San Juan de Colón town, Táchira state. I started the musical kindergarten when I was 4 in my town at "El Sistema". When I turned 17 I moved to Caracas away from my family to continue my musical formation with maestro Álvaro Lárez, a few months later I joined the Academia Latinoamericana de Violín with maestro Sergio Celis and some years later with maestro Luis Miguel González.
Since I moved to Caracas I joined some important orchestras in my country, such as Youth Orchestra of Caracas, Juan José Landaeta Symphony Orchestra and I am a current member of Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. With these orchestras I have had the opportunity to go in international tours performing in Italy, Portugal, Spain, France and Russia. I also teach some national and international students.
I decided to make this campaign because unfortunately I do not have enough financial resources to cover my trip that includes airplane ticket, visa, health insurance, housing and food for the first months I spend there while I get a part time job to sustain myself since Paris is an expensive city.
I would appreciate a lot if you could help me by sharing this campaign or donating, any contribution it doesn't matter how little it could be for you I am sure it will mean a lot to me with your help. I hope all of you are having a good day, thank you so much for your support!
Here I share with you an excerpt of me playing Schindler's List!
