Music Reading Simplified with Everyday Music Theory (PDF Version)
Music Reading Simplified contains basic reading skills and theories beginner musicians need to get a good foundation.
The book is designed to be used in conjunction with an instrument method book of choice and to support musicians new to reading music. The book is also excellent for those needing a brush up on basic music theories required to play day to day tunes. It takes a general approach to be useful in learning any instrument of choice where music reading is beneficial. It includes 50 tunes to support every step of learning.
BONUS access to exclusive website created specifically to accompany this book to assist other ways of learning such as videos and step by step instructions with fantastic diagrams. The website is a living site and will be updated as needed to provide continued value as well as receive your feedback, thoughts, questions and comments.
The book is divided into three sections.
Section 1. Music Reading Theory Detailed Study
Section 2. Must Know Basics and Progressive Steps with supporting music sheet that can be played on any instrument to support each topic as they are introduced or simply to practice music reading.
Section 3.Contains additional resources with useful charts, how to use metronome, difference between chromatic and diatonic instruments.
With encouragements from my music community, to make an extended version of my previous book, "Learning the Lyre Harp for Beginners," accessible to other musicians for reading music in general.
