New comic every Thursday!
This web comic is about the many futuristic issues we're facing, like artificial intelligence, surveillance, automation, newsfeed algorithms, and targeted advertising. We'll take a look at the issues, and then look at some of the ways humanity could survive this technological apocalypse we've brought upon ourselves! :} The comic strives to be a sort of roadmap for the human resistance in the face of impossible odds. A guide on how to understand the issues we face, how to cope, and how to overcome.
Since this comic is about technology getting out of hand, but isn't about living without technology, I used 8-bit animation to evoke the friendly and familiar feeling of a technology that hadn't turned on us, yet. A reminder of how technology can be used to improve our lives without getting so complicated we don't understand what it's doing to us anymore. I also added a touch of animation - each comic panel has some movement to make it come alive and better illustrate concepts. I thought an inventive new medium was fitting for a comic that is asking us to re-conceptualize our reality.
