Art
I created https://lunchbaghead.me to explore the issues we face with surveillance, automation, artificial intelligence, social media, newsfeed algorithms, and targeted advertising. It's a unique style pixel-art comic with animated panels.
The comic seeks to develop a solid understanding of the invisible technological forces we're being confronted with, as well as provide a narrative to understand how we could resist the worst of what is to come.
This comic comes highly recommended for "future-proofing your mind". Show your friends, and you may even be inspired to create an apocalypse crew together!
(I'm not creating new comics very often, but I will when I get back to it. I've just been busy finishing MindTags.)
Games
https://lessismore.dev/infinite/
This is a text-based adventure I made where the players get to create the world they're exploring! The more you explore, the more you end up building the world. It's a very simple system of exploring a text-based world, except whenever a player tries to enter a door or do an action that isn't already defined, they are asked to describe the next room or the next scene. The more people you invite to play, the more room descriptions will already exist when you go to explore it!
This is a game made around the concept of ASCII art. The whole game is just ascii art, but any letter or symbol can be made into a gateway to another screen when you click on it. This means you can pretty much make anything you want.
Anti-Social Media
These are "social media" experiments that are made to facilitate a more anonymous anti-surveillance ways of interacting.
https://lessismore.dev/333focus
The "333focus" website is similar to instagram except without any surveillance or tracking or AI-powered algorithms. Each page acts as a standalone gallery that presents one topic that a user is interested in. Users can choose to see just the first gallery, a glimpse of the first four galleries, or all nine galleries. The concretely limited number of pictures means users are forced to choose what matters most to them, and which galleries or pictures are most important, instead of feeling pressured to post often. No one is informed when you change your pictures, it's just a gallery sitting there to show people what's important to you.
https://lessismore.dev/openbook
Openbook is a faceless facebook made to allow a social media type of experience without any individual identities. The website is sorted by hashtags, and allows any user to add tags to previous posts to help each other organize information. There are no usernames or individual identities, so everyone can speak their mind as Anonymous.
This website has an extra layer of security since it already got slammed by a bunch of bots - you just have to include '#fskynet' in your post for it to post properly.
Utilities
https://lessismore.dev/mindtags.html
MindTags is an opensource notes app I created to help scattered brains get organized. It's also to help a scattered world get organized, since it's made to facilitate the "gift economy". It's pre-loaded with an ecosystem of hashtags made to facilitate the gathering and redistributing of resources in a way that avoids capitalism altogether.
