Yesterday I wrote about why I built Drift. Today, version 1.0.0 is approved and available for anyone to install.
Drift makes one of my common Mastodon workflows a lot easier:
๐น Highlight a passage on a webpage
๐น Click Drift
๐น Get an editable draft with the passage, title, and link
๐น Add your own thoughts
๐น Choose your Mastodon server
๐น Review and publish from Mastodon itself
It also supports right-click sharing, multiple saved servers, tracking-link cleanup, temporary draft recovery, keyboard shortcuts, and light/dark mode.
No Mastodon password. No API token. Nothing gets published automatically.
Itโs free and open source.

If you try it, Iโd genuinely love to hear what you think.
