Yesterday I wrote about why I built Drift. Today, version 1.0.0 is approved and available for anyone to install.
Drift makes one of my common Mastodon workflows a lot easier:
🔹 Highlight a passage on a webpage
🔹 Click Drift
🔹 Get an editable draft with the passage, title, and link
🔹 Add your own thoughts
🔹 Choose your Mastodon server
🔹 Review and publish from Mastodon itself
It also supports right-click sharing, multiple saved servers, tracking-link cleanup, temporary draft recovery, keyboard shortcuts, and light/dark mode.
No Mastodon password. No API token. Nothing gets published automatically.
It’s free and open source.

If you try it, I’d genuinely love to hear what you think.
