Shalom-salaam from Jerusalem the Holy City! We make all kinds of short and long movies about incredible activities going on in Israel/Palestine. This is a beautiful and hopeful and sometimes dangerous place - with more stories per square inch than almost anywhere else. Movies are the universal medium of our time - and powerful movies can help make the world a better place. Our movies can help Jews and others internationally to become more connected to Israel, and learn about positive stories from here.

Two current projects of ours:

“Froman’s Way” - About the incredible and unique “settler rabbi for peace”, Rabbi Menachem Froman (who passed in 2013), and the Israelis and Palestinians who continue his activities these days (our older version of Rabbi Froman's story was called "A Third Way" - trailer above). We spent many days videoing Rabbi Froman, in the five years before he died. There is no one like him. He became friends with Arafat, and had many meetings with Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the spiritual founder of Hamas. We have footage of all of it. Froman could hold contradictions without choosing sides - an amazing human. How can we feel and build on his spirit in these *very* difficult days?

“Green Rebels” - About the amazing solar energy visionary Yossi Abramowitz and his partners - Africans and Arabs - working like heck to bring solar energy to Israel, Africa, and Arab nations. (Half of all Africans have no access to electricity). Did you know he helped build a solar field in Gaza?! How can we fight against the spoiled rotten international petro companies and conservative financial orgs like the World Bank?

HolyLandMovies posts exclusive excerpts and spinoffs of these and other projects here (we also post writings about our experiences shooting all these videos). Once in awhile, we also post inspiring bits of local news videos or other videos. All the work is about social/political/environmental conflicts and issues. These days - after last Oct. 7 and with the war between Israel and Hamas - things are even more tense and complex than usual! We make sure to spend time with the most courageous peacemakers and visionary activists. Our job is to create hope!
