Howdy!

 This is Greg with Get Out Overland originating from Austin Texas. Over 2024 I will be overlanding with my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon named Jimmie King from Texas to Alaska. My hope is to document everything here on Buy Me a Coffee to tell my story and maybe some philosophy on life.

 I quit my career of 30 years as CTO of a large landscape architecture firm at the beginning of 2024. I am ready for the next chapter of my life, wherever and whatever that is along my journey. I have lived in Austin Texas since 1989 and I’m ready to move on and find a new place to live when I cannot sustain myself overlanding.

 I have dreamt of Overlanding for more than 40 years. As a kid I watched the Paris Dakar rally and Camel Trophy Series, and dream of living/overlanding in my vehicle in the country’s they went through and in the vehicles they drove. This year I am making the dream come true and I’m going to do my best to continue doing it.I would love to do this indefinitely to ALL corners of the earth.

I picked this platform, Buy Me a Coffee, because it was ready-made. This is a place where it makes it easy to create content without consuming your entire day, designing and editing. Easy Peasy, or we will see… Also it allows friends, family and anyone interested to donate, if interested, along the way. I am just starting out in the social media arena and I’m not sure where this will take me.
