Sorry it’s been a minute but the last post I was uploading a day ago disappeared when my app crashed. Coverage out here is abysmal. Another tidbit is these post take 2 to 3 hours for me to create. I know… I know…. 😳 I’m rarely in a spot that long so it’s been difficult. This app also needs a ton of bandwidth, so I have to have wifi. I know that’s shocking especially because I can’t spell and my grammar sucks. I digress… Wait, on more excuse, I’m dictating this and Siri does not do well with minimal coverage.
So, when I was getting my jeep worked on, I was shooting the shit with the owners of Shift Autoworks. They were talking about an upcoming event no one could attend (Smugglers Run). With no agenda, I volunteered. I really didn’t think they were going to say yes or be interested, but they were. Not sure if this link will be here when I post; https://www.smugglersruns.com

Fast forward to this event I really knew nothing about. It’s kinda Post Apocalyptic cosplay (Gregg Sales words?) meets off-road scavenger hunt/escape room.
Our team (Six)was lead by Trinity and Yaya (real names, likely misspelled) had won before, so they got us newbies. 4 Jeeps and I was the only one with no navigator. That would have been a game changer.
There were 10 checkpoints that allowed us the save the world from the Russians. Well, Master Blaster or a scientist..? Read the link and you’ll get a better description. It still may not be clear.
Here are the pix. The actors were great and the event was fun and competitive. It also gave me a chance to shakedown Jimmie King, and boy did it! Yikes, Yaya is heavy on the throttle. She’s the one with the pigtails seven pictures down.
And now I’m back to our regularly scheduled programming.
