I find that life can sometimes be a bit of a slog, just one humdrum day after another. But every so often, if I am paying attention, another reality breaks in. It might be the sight of wild geese in the sky, a moment of connection with another person, a phrase of music or an answered prayer. I want to be alert to these possibilities and I want to build a community of people to join me on the quest for joy, meaning and the Kingdom of God. PS Sometimes you'll just get a wee snapshot of what's going on in my head and that's always have much to do with this quest!

Recently I heard someone talk about her father, who had passed away. "Yes," she said, thinking how to describe him. "He loved God. You know, there are Christians and then there are people who love God, well, he loved God." I hope it's possible to be both but if I had to choose, I would choose the former.
