Since 2011, Anthony Russell has been using his site, Banners On The Wall to write about the Basingstoke Bison and over the years has now expanded to giving the most in depth and detailed coverage in writing and video form about the National Ice Hockey League structure in Great Britain.

Our coverage ranges from game write ups, in depth player signing pieces as well as our #HockeyStories series, long form written pieces that go in depth into subjects within hockey. From the 19th century to the present day with the movers and shakers on the sport in Britain, #HockeyStories covers it.

On Wednesdays during the hockey season, our live show on Youtube, the What's Current Stream, is a live hour long chat through everything in the NIHL structure where we chat through all 5 divisions. The audience gets involved and we look at the good, the bad and the ugly of British hockey. 

I've decided to use BMAC to fund some fun bits that I want to do over the coming season. With the Basingstoke Bison having paused due to rink redevelopment, it's a chance for me as a writer and content creator to spread my wings and try telling different stories.  Stuff will remain free but I'm using this as a platform to allow you to donate if you like and value what I do.
