The Taskmaster Theme for Solo Oboe

In the 2026 New Year's Treat Episode 1, Alex Horne announces he's been awarded an OBE, or rather an Oboe.

As an real life amateur oboist, I took the opportunity to transcribe and arrange the full Taskmaster theme, as composed by The Horne Section.

Apologies for the tuning on some of those high notes, we're really pushing the limits of the oboe here and tuning is incredibly sensitive (as is the oboe in general).

It's something that LAH probably didn't have to deal with himself as he mimed along! What a haut and very naughty bois he is! There are other aspects that Alex does which are big no no's for any serious oboists.
