In 2024, I took the (brave) decision to quit a stable corporate job, and dabble in becoming self employed. This page is a way for others to show their appreciation for my passion projects and talents im monetary form whether it be large or small.

Passion and talents include:

Piano playing: I've played the piano since 1992 (classically trained) and record myself playing all sorts of songs and pieces.

Piano teaching: I've been teaching the piano part time since 2019. I find it particularly rewarding to see students finally "get" something that was previously challenging.

Stats and Analytics: I have a PhD in Statistics and 10 years of industry experience at big tech companies. I like storytelling with data and playing in others sandpits. This was the aforementioned "stable" job.

The Median Duck is one of my side projects which showcases my stats and analytics skills, in the context of the UK TV show Taskmaster.

General admin and project management:

I've been on a HOA board since 2020 for my condo building. This is a volunteer position, and often a thankless job. I've mainly been in charge of the admin tasks (meeting minutes), but recently got more involved with special assessment proposals and budgets. It can be rewarding but can also be equally challenging (lots of personnel conflicts).

I've stayed on the board longer than intended, but know, from experience, that a personnel change to the board is disruptive to the various large projects we have going on. Consequently, I have chosen to remain on the board to ensure some stability and make sure we continue to make progress on projects.

In 2024, I made the (brave) decision to quit my corporate job and become self employed. Part of my decision was to dedicate more time to the HOA and ensure that we maintain momentum on the various projects. 

Video Editing: In addition to editing my piano performances, I also create silly video projects based on my surroundings.
