I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
At our house, we celebrated Christmas the North American way with a big roasted turkey, and for New Yearāsātotally non-traditional but very Japaneseāwe had a sushi party! š£
January 1st is always reserved for college football at our place, so āI donāt want to cookā is my very convenient excuse every year. š
Iām honestly so excited to see what this year will bring.
I havenāt set any big New Yearās resolutions, but I do want to put a bit more energy into knitting this year.
To be honest, 2025 was a busy one. Caring for my husband took a lot of time, and my hand eczema was so bad that I just didnāt feel like knitting much. On top of that, Iāve been trying hard to use up the yarn I already ownāwhich, ironically, lowered my creative motivation more than I expected.
Lately, though, Iāve been thinking that this year Iāll alternate between leftover-yarn projects and projects I truly want to knit, instead of choosing just one or the other. That feels like a good balance for where I am right now.
Thank you for being here, and I look forward to another year with you all.
Hereās to a happy and gentle New Year! š§¶āØ
