Hi! My name is Miguel Angel. I'm 9 years old in the fourth grade and I started Barknits in 2024 because I love dogs. I also love music, movies, candy, Jim Carrey and my two gerbils, Nonna and Ata who I named after my grandparents. I have a twin sister and we both have autism and I also have ADHD. It makes school really hard for me so I love having Barknits because I have something that I do well and I can be proud of. I pick out the colors and I do all the knitting and my mom finishes the edges with crochet.

I love animals so much and I want to do more to help so I will be giving 25% of sales and all of the donations raised here to animal shelters and rescues. Both of our cats, Judy and Pepe came from shelters, our turtle Ishmael was given to us by a neighbor. We also have two tarantulas, Priscilla and Sahara.
