“Ladies and gentleman, welcome…” Stella put on her headphones and her gaze wandered to the small window. It was pitch black outside. Clouds hung deep and covered the whole sky. The seatbelt signal flashed and she fastened her seatbelt. Despite the late hour John had insisted on driving her to the airport. For the first time she hesitated. He had hugged her so tight when they said goodbye. She almost wished he hadn’t let her go. Which was kind of weird because she and John were just friends. Maybe it was due to the fact that she hadn’t had a relationship since Max. Max had been kind and nice but wasn’t very comfortable in showing his affection for her in public. And even in private he only showed it every once in a while. Which lead to a lot of frustration and arguments. In the end they both had to aknowledge that their expectations to the relationship differed too much. A small light outside got her attention. It took her a moment to register what she saw. The plane had slowly made its way through the clouds and now more and more stars appeared in the night sky. In awe she watched the scene emerging in front of her. They felt so close. She knew it was silly because those stars were millions of lightyears away but still she felt that urge deep within her. To be a part of them. To dance among them.

I left that page and didn’t quite know what to do with it later. So I just painted this scene together with a quote.
