Simple nominal sentence (Standard Arabic).
In Arabic, there are two types of sentences: Nominal sentence and verbal sentence.
In this post we'll explore the nominal type:
The nominal sentence consists of two parts:
Subject + Predicate (aka: information)
Let's take few examples:
ุงูุทููููุณู ุญุงุฑูู
The weather is hot.
ุงูุจูููุชู ููุจูุฑู
The house is big.
ุงูุณูููููุงุฑูุฉู ุฌูู ูููุฉู
The car is beautiful.
ู ูุญูู ููุฏ ูู ุงูู ูุฏูุฑูุณูุฉ.
Mohamed is at school.
ุฃููุง ู ูู ุชูููุณ.
I'm from Tunisia.
Note that the nominal sentence always starts with a noun (never with a verb).
