๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ต ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฑ๐ป was born on March 31st or April 1st, 1732 in Austria and is considered one of the great composers of the (Vienna) Classical Period. Most of his time he spent as a court musician at the Esterhรกzy family's court in Hungary. He says that during this time he had to be original because he lived isolated from other composers. He is often called the "๐๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐ต๐ผ๐ป๐" and the "๐๐ฎ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐".
The following video plays the "๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ต๐๐บ๐ป๐ฒ" oder "๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐พ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐๐" (Emperor's Hymn or Quartet) or "๐๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ" (God save Francis the Emperor). The lyrics were written by Lorenz Leopold Haschka for the Austrian Emperor Franz II (Francis II). Haydn wrote the music in 1796/97. When you listen to it, you will immediately recognize it as the music to ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐'๐ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ป๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ. The text for the anthem (๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ป) was written by Hoffmann von Fallersleben in 1841.
The footage accompanying the music is from the time of the late Austrian empire.
