Hello there! My name is Anika, born and raised in Germany, living in the US, and I write a blog about anything German: the language, the food, the history, the traditions, the culture, the people.

I started this because I realized that for one there is much more to my own culture than I was aware of, and two Germany is often seen in rather limited terms: beer, sausage, schnitzel, Oktoberfest, World War II, Rammstein. And really Germany and German culture is more than beer and schnitzel which is why I named my blog exactly that: More than Beer and Schnitzel.
