Hi, I am ilmi Khalid or ilmkhal — a Silat practitioner, storyteller, and motion designer from Malaysia.
I’ve started training in martial arts quite late my life, with a focus on Silat. I use video, writing, and design to document the beauty, depth, and purpose of traditional Malay martial arts — especially with Silat weapon.
My work blends movement with meaning. Whether I’m filming a Silat sequence, crafting short films, or writing on my blog, I aim to preserve and share the living tradition of Silat in a way that’s honest, educational, and rooted in values.
If you enjoy my content or want to support my journey — from developing Silat courses to producing deeper video projects — feel free to buy me a coffee. Every bit helps me keep creating and sharing what matters.
Thank you for being part of this.
