Hi friends, I just wanted to share an email conversation that made me realise there's always more to think of and more to learn when it comes to ways that people will use tools like minecraftshapes.com
When I first added squares to the site, I felt a little foolish - who's coming here to figure out how to build squares in minecraft? But since adding new features like the ability to show radii, stellations, and to rotate the diagram, I can see that there is a viable use case here!
That's what this email made me realise.
I wanted to share this here to show that these emails do reach me, and that I'm always open to adding new features when people suggest them!
While I was at it, I also updated the site to remove that warning box for when you've drawn highlights on the diagram - highlights will now persist when the diagram changes or is updated, and when if you leave the page and return to it later! To clear highlights, you can still use the 'remove highlighted cells' button.
I've also had some interesting messages about adding the ability to generate 3D shapes on the site, but that's a story for another time...
