A lot has been happening behind the scenes with Horseman Rising, and this project is becoming bigger, more beautiful, and more deeply connected to the Hudson Valley than I ever imagined.
First: the book has a newly redesigned cover, along with custom printed-edge artwork inspired by the story’s Sleepy Hollow setting. The entire package now feels like the special, immersive edition I wanted this book to have from the beginning.
Even more exciting, Horseman Rising will likely be released early—possibly as soon as mid-August—rather than waiting until the fall. The official launch celebrations will still take place during spooky season, but readers may be able to get their hands on the book much sooner.
The event calendar is also growing.

I am working on product placement throughout Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, and other Hudson Valley locations. Once the book is released, signed copies may be available through several local shops and destination businesses—putting a Hudson Valley story directly into the places that inspired it.
In related news, Horseman Rising is getting its own dedicated website. It will include a gallery for event photos, launch updates, information about the story and its Hudson Valley connections, upcoming appearances, and a direct link to purchase the book. The goal is to create one central place where readers can follow everything connected to the book as it grows.
There are also custom Horseman Rising products in development, including candles and locally made perfume and scented goods designed around the atmosphere of the book: haunted woods, autumn air, old legends, smoke, earth, and something waiting just beyond the trees.
This has grown into much more than a book release. It is becoming a collection of local collaborations, events, products, and experiences built around the folklore and landscapes that shaped both the story and me.
I do need to be honest, though: this Buy Me a Coffee campaign has not gained much traction so far. Every part of this launch—proof copies, event materials, displays, advertising, decorations, promotional items, and author inventory—comes with a cost. I am doing as much as possible through thrifted materials, local partnerships, DIY work, and sheer determination, but support here would genuinely help me give this book the launch it deserves.
