How to Reach the Summit of Success

It's Friday! And this past week has been an awesome ride, to say the least. Everything is moving so fast and bringing a ton of goodness for this writer. And I'm glad I can bring all of you along for the ride.

So, what has put me in such a stellar mood? Well, first of all, I've been able to drink my Emerge energy drink from Max Muscle lately. It's a mood enhancer, fat metabolizing, energy drink that does more for me than any Monster. Secondly, I am steps away from publishing my first book, the blog writing is going well, I'm just a couple of months away from being in the YouTube Partnership Program, and the podcast gets an influential guest next week.

On top of all this, I've lost 12 pounds in the past two weeks!

As the title suggests, I'm going to share how I was able to rope all of this together in the past seven days.

Setting Goals and Actually Following Through

This past week, I wanted to make sure I can at least beat my best record for the number of words written in a single month for 2021. And according to the last seven days, I'm going to shatter it. Between the blogs, eBook, and Despair, things are moving along nicely.

First, goals mean very little if you don't actually put in the effort to accomplish them. Sure, they'll look great on paper. But if you don't actually take action, that's all they'll be...jottings on a piece of paper.

It's important to set goals that are realistic according to your needs and capabilities, though. I've seen too many people set their sights on unrealistic expectations. Usually, they ultimately fail, get distressed, and then giving up.

This is why I suggest setting goals to surpass your past experiences. If you wrote 1500 words last week, write 1501 this week.

You're only in competition with yourself, and anything you do to surpass your own abilities is beneficial. Don't worry about the success of others. Focus on what you can do today to move forward for what you want.

Getting Out of My Comfort Zone

I was a bit anxious to ask someone onto the podcast. I am incredibly shy in real life and wasn't sure how she would react. I'm actually quite self-conscious when it comes to a lot of aspects of my life, this includes the professional elements. Though, we already had a good relationship prior to this. Still, something like this is way outside of my comfort zone.

Or, maybe I am just far more self-confident than I was a few years ago. Either way, being comfortable with my discomfort has led to some awesome experiences thus far.

You'll never know some of the great things that can happen if you simply go outside of where you're most comfortable. Yes, you might have a terrible experience. Then again, you might find something that turns out to be the best thing for you.

The point is that you'll never know what's possible if you don't take those chances.

Getting Serious About What I Want

Lately, I've been making more of an effort to reach the things I want most. This includes the eBook, building up the YouTube channel, and getting the blogs to a certain degree of success.

Sitting around and waiting for something to miraculously happen isn't going to cut it. The things I want demand a certain base level of effort.

Do you want to have a popular blog? Are you looking to publish that first novel? Is becoming a YouTube sensation on your priority list? Perhaps you're simply looking to meet someone who lights up your day.

No matter what it is you want, you need to demonstrate a bit of seriousness. Write those blog posts. Sit down and hammer out another chapter of your book. Upload engaging videos people want to watch. Go out and mingle and have fun.

Nothing is going to happen unless you put in the effort to make it happen.

Realizing My Potential and Pushing Through the Darkness

It's no secret that I suffer from a myriad of things. Most of all, impostor syndrome. And the last few weeks have been hard on me as I started to feel a bit overwhelmed with everything I'm trying to do. However, I've recently put aside those issues and took a long, hard look at myself and what I'm doing with my life.

Do you know what I discovered? That I often get in the way of what I want.

A lot of people will discredit themselves, or avoid taking action on the things they want. Even when opportunity comes knocking, some people avoid answering at all costs.

Not to sound like some hippy, but when the universe hands you something on a silver plate, it's best to take it.

Even if it turns out to be a bad experience, it's still something you can learn from and grow. Though, I've seen people turn down things that probably would have been the greatest experience of their lives. And this includes some things I've come across over the years.

Realize that you have a lot to offer. Take those steps to pull yourself through those dark moments in your life. Because most of those situations are only temporary. How you deal with them is what makes them permanent.

What Gets Your Mojo Humming?

There's no doubt that I am in one hell of a hyperactive mood today. It's not a thousand degrees outside, more pumpkins are starting to pop up in the backyard, and this week is ending on one hell of a high note.

It's a great feeling and one that I fully intend on repeating next week.
