I'm back to writing poetry again after about a two-month long silence. I think I needed the break because my poems were starting to hit the blahs. But being a poet-at-rest can feel a bit frustrating, almost like being a bird in a cage.
Looking back over the poems I've done in the last year, I'm happy with them but not satisfied. I have a vision of what I want to do with poems going forward. That's just the formula you need to get moving and keep moving, so I'm excited!
Just a reminder to all you creators or aspiring creators that cycling through periods of rest and activity is quite natural for any artist. But always be ready to spring back into action!! And never be fully satisfied with what you've already done -- keep creating forward, keep hunting, and growing.
