writing, teaching writing, and hosting an imperfect podcast.
Hi! I'm a writer, storyteller, and educator.
I believe stories drive everything. And I tell stories on pages, screens, stages, and microphones.
As a freelance writer, I provide writing services to entrepreneurs and organizations. In addition to my own writing, I mentor other writers and teach writing courses and workshops.
I aspire to someday make a living from my writing and teaching, but, for now, most of my creative work is unpaid. I engage in this work because creating helps support my mental health, and I access joy from it.
Reaching for joy led me to create my podcast, "The Art of Doing Life," which explores the intersection of art, creativity, mental health, and chronic illness. I host and produce the podcast independently and would love to someday be able to pay someone who knows what they're doing to handle the audio, because...well, I'm not it.
I live with an adorable, mixed-breed puppy named Lulu and, currently, major depressive disorder, social anxiety, chronic illness, PTSD, and grief. The only thing I like about that sentence is the puppy.
Honestly? While I do have a pretty serious tea habit (green, almost always; black, sometimes; Earl Grey, never), most of my money goes toward my haphazard attempts at keeping myself healthy or trying to protect my dog from living a ruff life :)
Oh, and Taylor Swift is my love language.
Thanks for stopping by!
