Happy weekend DD-followers!
I've been working on straightening out some of the nitty-gritty details that will get DDv5 from a draft manuscript to a finished product. Among these "details" are the front and back matters, including the indexes --- and yes (as discussed over on the Discord) "indexes" is the correct plural in the typesetting context :)
The good news is that LaTeX provides some powerful tools for building high-quality indexes.
That said, nothing in LaTeX is ever easy the first time around! But with some considerable dithering, I now have it doing (mostly) what I want, which is pushing out four indexes, one for each of: a general index, spells, monsters, and magic items.
Here's what the general index currently looks like:

Doubtless, there will be a bit more finessing of terms included, but it's basically there.
The other indexes are in a similarly decent shape, so getting pretty close to an alpha V5 compendium now (albeit with the V4 monster and treasure lists). Stay tuned...
