With eyes tightly closed the world spins violently
Limbs lie heavy when you rest, feeling not yours
Separation in mind from the body that punishes
Unsure of specifics, of the why and even the what
Left in the dark, alone, fighting for hidden chances
Every minute a battle for mental solidity, for sanity
As well as internal control of our naked emotions
Searching our souls we choose to face dark truths
All while focusing on a road paved with black ice
The kind that sends us flying, thrown onto our ass
By complications and promises that others do deny
Blissfully reminiscent viewpoints cost us a dear price
But perhaps it shall be worth it should paradise exist
