Poem #3

Oct 12, 2023

Swept out amongst the coral sharp

inhabit husks and swimming far

we hide and burrow, turn tail and run.

For life unbound and unconnected

shears us short and leaves us scared

to face the day and even worse the night.

So on bended knee we beg and plead

with whispers and prayers to ghosts anew

that haunt our dreams and dare us to live.
