While you dither and gather and whisper
the mind has nowhere, yet everywhere, to go.
It flies and dives, it buries and it hides,
beneath and above, outside and also within.
Wrapped in mammoth fears and
drizzled with false malcontent and vice
there is a freedom in grasping at the handholds
placed here and there by life's true guardians.
Fear not is a fallacy and wisdom yet may come
when you least expect it or even want it.
But do not let it tarnish and fade while you wait
because between blinks it may wither and vanish.
